Mandate

The Secretariat of the Exchequer keeps the Kingdom's accounts and maintains its currency. It is answerable to the Crown for the proper stewardship of every contribution made to the Kingdom.

What the Secretariat handles

  • The Treasury of the Exchequer, the Kingdom's General Fund
  • The Navar, the Kingdom's official currency, fixed at 1 Navar to $0.10 USD, and amendable only by sovereign instrument
  • Receipt and accounting of contributions, dues and fees
  • Coordination with the Order's Grand Treasurer, whose review of Order funds does not supersede the Exchequer
  • Liaison with the Kingdom's fiscal sponsor, W.A.V.E. Women Inc.

A note on contributions

Tax-deductible donations in support of the Kingdom of Navassa are made through our fiscal sponsor, W.A.V.E. Women Inc., an organization dedicated to creating safe, supportive, and empowering resources for the transgender community. Donations processed through W.A.V.E. Women Inc. are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
