On this first day of November, the Reform Catholic Church of Navassa, the established church of the Kingdom, keeps the Feast of All Saints. The Crown commends this observance to all who wish to join in it, within the Kingdom and across the diaspora.

All Saints is the Church’s celebration of the communion of saints: the martyrs and teachers, the healers and the hospitable, and the countless ordinary faithful whose names are held by God alone. Where other days honour one life, this feast honours them all together. In the high-church tradition it is among the principal feasts of the year, and it opens the season in which the Church remembers its dead.

For a Kingdom that honours the sea and the stranger, the feast has a particular meaning. The saints are the lights along the shore, and each one is a beacon kept by someone who came before. The Crown gives thanks for those who have served as such lights in the Kingdom’s own story.

### **A Word from the Royal Chaplaincy**

*“The saints are not a distant few. They are the nurse who stayed, the neighbour who fed the hungry, the grandmother who prayed through the night. Today we give thanks for all of them, and we ask for grace to be counted among those who keep the light. May we, in our own small ways, be lights for those who come after.”*
